Studebaker Golden Hawk 1957 1/18The Studebaker Golden Hawk received an all-new engine in 1957. The V8 289ci was fitted with a McCulloh supercharger, allowing it to produce 275hp. The addition of the supercharger led to the cutting of the hood with the installation of a fiberglass bulge to provide enough space. Thanks to the supercharger, the Golden Hawk could compete with the Chrysler 300B, the Ford Thunderbird, and the Corvette of the time. This car was relatively light, with rear-wheel drive and had a good power-to-weight ratio.Auto World replicated the Golden Hawk in vibrant Coppertone Opal paint with a black interior.
