Some models make you want to build them even before you think about flying, and the DW HOBBY Piper Cub J3 is exactly one of those.

Designed as a true RC airplane to assemble yourself, it captures the iconic shape of the Piper Cub while offering a clean, enjoyable building experience.

This build-it-yourself kit is based on an accurate plan and comes with high-quality pre-cut wood parts. You’ll find balsa, hardwood, a molded plastic cowl, a fitted windshield, and a fully functional landing gear that enhances realism.

Every part is laser-cut, ensuring precise alignment and a solid, lightweight structure.

To make the process easier, DW HOBBY includes scale wheels, pre-bent and drilled aluminum wing struts, carbon tube spars, and a complete hardware pack with all fittings. You build a model that is faithful, rigid yet lightweight, and visually convincing.

This Piper Cub J3 can be powered by an electric or gas engine. A 500–600 W brushless motor works perfectly, but an equivalent gas engine can also be installed.

With only four standard servos, you get a stable, responsive model ideal for smooth and realistic flights.
