The Focke-Wulf Fw190 was a single-seat, single-engine fighter aircraft of the Luftwaffe, and one of the best fighters of its generation. Widely used during World War II, it was built in over 20,000 units, including about 6,000 fighter-bomber models. Its production spanned from 1941 to the end of the war, during which the aircraft was continuously modernized. The Fw190 A-8 entered production in February 1944; it was a version equipped with reinforced armor and armament. In total, at least 1,334 aircraft of the A-8 series were built.
