Prussian Infantry in action 1/72, Seven Years' War Period. Includes 40 figures to paint. Start of the Seven Years' War: August 29, 1756 when the armies of Frederick II of Prussia attacked Saxony. End: February 15, 1763 with the Treaty of Hubertusburg: Peace between Austria and Prussia. The Seven Years' War was a kind of world war before the term existed. The game of alliances and the presence of certain belligerents across the globe (through their colonies) led to conflicts on three continents. This conflict can be divided into two sub-conflicts: a confrontation between Prussia/Austria on one side, with the aim of dominance in Germany, and on the other hand a showdown between France/England for control of India and North America. The big winner was England, emerging as the mistress of the seas and a vast colonial empire, becoming the new great global power. Prussia, which came close to disaster, also emerged victorious, definitively keeping Silesia and gaining points over Austria for control of Germany. The big loser was France, losing its status as a dominant power and leaving behind its entire first colonial empire, losing all its colonies in Senegal, North America, and India.
