The POLY-ZAP is a special cyanoacrylate adhesive developed for modern plastics such as Lexan and Delrin.

Lexan is one of the most difficult plastics to bond, and POLY-ZAP was specifically designed to solve this problem.

POLY-ZAP also works on:

  • Delrin,
  • polycarbonate,
  • ABS,
  • styrene,
  • nylon,
  • Starboard (marine HDPE),
  • as well as most acrylics.

It also adheres to many plastic films and painted surfaces.

Modeling Applications

Poly-Zap is ideal for modern ARF models.

Among its many applications:

  • ABS engine cowls,
  • Lexan RC car bodies,
  • fiberglass repairs,
  • RC boat parts,
  • automotive finishing elements.

Outdoor and Marine Applications

Nautical accessories and outdoor equipment made of Starboard plastic (marine HDPE) can be assembled with POLY-ZAP.

This material particularly withstands:

  • UV rays,
  • moisture,
  • marine environments,
  • harsh outdoor conditions.

Usage Tips

Apply small drops of POLY-ZAP on one of the surfaces to be assembled and then put the parts in contact.

For large assemblies or long joints:

  • apply small drops spaced 6 to 12 mm apart on one surface,
  • along the entire length of the joint,
  • then assemble the parts.

Be careful to keep fingers away from glued areas until completely dry.

This adhesive can instantly bond skin to parts.

To prevent whitening of transparent parts, it is advisable not to use an accelerator.

If you wish to use ZIP KICKER:

  • apply a very small amount,
  • using a fine brush or toothpick.

It is not necessary to apply the accelerator over the entire bond.

For fiberglass repairs:

  • evenly spread POLY-ZAP over the entire surface,
  • then let it dry naturally.

For critical applications, it is recommended to test the assemblies to verify their final strength.
