Austrian Army / Seven Years' War
The Seven Years' War was a global conflict that pitted all the major European powers of the time against each other and spanned five continents, affecting Europe, the Americas, West Africa, India, and the Philippines. The conflict divided Europe into two coalitions, led by the Kingdom of Great Britain (including the Kingdom of Prussia, the Kingdom of Portugal, the electorate of Brunswick-Lüneburg, and other small German states) and the Kingdom of France (including the Holy Roman Empire led by Austria), the Russian Empire (until 1762), the Kingdom of Spain, and the Swedish Empire on the other side. Meanwhile, in India, some regional authorities within the increasingly fragmented Mughal Empire, with French support, attempted to crush a British attempt to conquer Bengal. The scale of the war led some historians to refer to it as "World War Zero," of a magnitude similar to other world wars.
