Model plastic of Mi-171Sh Hip helicopter 1:48
The Mi-171Sh has been specially designed to carry out combat missions in the context of local armed conflicts. Its design incorporates a five-blade main rotor, a tail rotor, and a non-retractable tricycle landing gear with a front wheel.
The glass cockpit can accommodate three crew members, while the cabin can transport up to 36 soldiers or up to 12 injured on stretchers. These helicopters are equipped with modern avionics and instruments, allowing them to operate in all weather conditions and at any time of the day.
The protective armor installed above the crew cabin and vital subsystems enhances the helicopter's combat survival capability. The engine exhaust ducts are equipped with infrared suppression exhaust mixing boxes to reduce the infrared signature.
The helicopter is equipped with an infrared decoy release system to counter infrared-guided air-to-air or surface-to-air missiles. The self-sealing covers of the fuel tanks and the polyurethane foam protection prevent any risk of explosion or fuel leakage in case of combat damage.
