Mikoyan-Gourevitch MiG-31 (NATO code: "Foxhound") is a Soviet-origin (currently Russian) interceptor. It is derived from the famous MiG-25 Foxbat, retaining its general appearance and high performance, but notably differing with the addition of a second crew member and a radar with "look-down/shoot-down" capability (detection and targeting of targets flying at lower altitudes).
