The Protronik E-PRG-3 programming card is an essential tool for accurately configuring your brand's brushless controllers, except for the BF-32 series.
Designed to be simple and intuitive, it allows you to customize many essential parameters: battery type selection, cutoff voltage adjustment, brake activation, Protronik motor rotation direction, timing adjustment, and much more.
The Protronik E-PRG-3 card stands out for its convenient power supply mode: it is directly powered by the connected controller, thanks to the propulsion battery. Therefore, there is no need to add an external power source to use it.
This system is compatible with controllers equipped with a BEC circuit (PM10A, PM20A, PM30A, PM40A) as well as those that do not have one (PM60A, PM70A, PM80A OPTO, and PM120A OPTO).
With this Protronik programming card, you can adjust your ESCs according to your needs:
Brake: Off / Medium / On (default: Off)
Battery Type: NiXX / LiPo 2 to 8S
Low Battery Motor Cutoff Threshold: 47 / 55 / 63 / 71% (NiXX) or 2.7 / 2.8 / 2.9 / 3.0 / 3.1 V (LiPo)
Motor Cutoff: Off / Power Limitation / Hard Cutoff (default: limitation)
Rotation Direction: Normal / Reverse (default: Normal)
Startup: Soft / Medium / Normal (default: Medium)
Timing: Auto / Low / Medium / High (default: Auto)
Switching Frequency: 8 / 16 kHz (default: 8 kHz)
The detailed manual is included with the programming card, but here is a summary to guide you.
Connect your ESC's servo cable to the card's programming connector, following the wire color code (see manual). For PM60A, PM70A, and PM80A OPTO models, also use the shorter second servo-type cable.
Connect the battery to the ESC, ensuring the polarity is correct.
After a few seconds, a beep confirms that communication between the Protronik card and the ESC is established. You can then:
Check the programming status: the red LED lights indicate the current settings.
Modify the settings: the LEDs display the selected values for each option.
Select the desired parameter from the eight available using the NEXT / MENU button (the parameter LED will blink).
Change the value using the NEXT / VALUE button.
Confirm and move to the next parameter by pressing NEXT / MENU.
Repeat these steps until all your settings are adjusted.
Once configuration is complete, disconnect the battery.
