The Antares remote-controlled sailboat is a scale model of a cutter-rigged sailing yacht, inspired by the elegant style of the 1920s.

It is a premium remote-controlled sailboat for self-assembly, ideal for naval modeling enthusiasts looking for precise and faithful construction.

A Realistic and Accessible Remote-Controlled Sailboat

Developed by Manfred Kaiser-Pletscher (MKP Modellbau), the Antares model is designed to allow modelers, even those with little experience, to assemble a collectible remote-controlled sailboat, thanks to modern materials and highly prefabricated parts.

The Antares kit includes:

• A PRV (Fiber-Reinforced Plastic) hull, molded and ready to use

• Wooden parts for the deck and superstructure, laser-cut for precise and quick assembly

• An unassembled deck outside the hull, to be fixed in place later

• All necessary construction materials

• Detailed design, with a wooden deck, mahogany superstructures, and meticulous finishes

This collectible remote-controlled sailboat is not a mass-produced product.

It is aimed at discerning modelers who appreciate the aesthetics and historical accuracy of classic yachts.

Rigging and Propulsion: Customizable

The rigging kit (brass pulleys, stainless steel cables, turnbuckles, ropes, etc.) is to be purchased separately (ref. 20371).

For smoother sailing in calm weather, an optional auxiliary propulsion kit is available, with an electric motor, shaft, propeller, and coupling (ref. 42370).

The sail plan is provided at a 1:1 scale.

You can:

• Purchase sail fabric (ref. 61900) to sew them yourself

• Or opt for a ready-to-install sail set (ref. 61915)

The package is complemented by an illustrated assembly manual, with step-by-step photos, also explaining the realistic control of the two jibs via winches.

Even without prior expertise, you can succeed in assembly thanks to the clear and detailed documentation.

Highly Customizable Remote-Controlled Sailboat

The Antares can be equipped with 2 or 3 sail winches, depending on the desired level of control:

• Main sail winch 14 kg - ref. 79074

• Jib winches 10 kg - ref. 79073 (x2)

• Standard servo - ref. 79054

A speed controller is also required, as well as a 4-channel or more RC transmitter, with dual-rate function, for precise and smooth control.
