Model plastic airplane model Focke-Wulf FW190A-6 1:48
The Focke-Wulf Fw190 was a single-seat, single-engine fighter aircraft of the Luftwaffe, and one of the best fighters of its generation. Widely used during World War II, it was built in over 20,000 units, including about 6,000 fighter-bomber models. Production spanned from 1941 to the end of the war, during which the aircraft underwent constant updates. The Fw190 A-6 was developed to address the shortcomings observed in the previous A models during combat against American heavy bombers. The modifications made to the model until then had led to a progressive increase in the aircraft's weight. To remedy this issue and allow for the installation of more powerful armaments in the wings, a larger and lighter wing was designed. This new wing was integrated into production starting from the A-6 model. Approximately 1,055 A-6s were built between May 1943 and March 1944.
