ORACOVER AIR COLLE THERMOSCABLE 100ml

The ORACOVER® adhesive AIR is used for optimal bonding of aluminum sheets in the construction of airships and dirigibles.

It is applied as thinly as possible on both sides of the seam area, and after drying, it is ironed at about 70° - 80° C.

We offer the adhesive suitable for each application. To make wooden surfaces particularly resistant to ironing, we use our liquid adhesives. They penetrate the wood and fix the unstable surface fibers to the substrate. This prevents these fibers from tearing under tension, which would cause the film to peel off and wrinkle. The torn fibers being glued to the adhesive layer of the film, the adhesive is blocked. Even a new ironing does not really solve the problem, as the film shrinks, but the adhesive, blocked by the torn fibers, can no longer adhere properly to the substrate. Liquid adhesives are identical to the corresponding adhesives used with the respective films. Therefore, always use the adhesive suitable for the film. The adhesive consumption is about 20 g/m² (dry weight). It is important that the adhesive is completely dry before application to prevent incompletely evaporated solvent residues from evaporating during ironing and causing bubbles. If our adhesives dry slightly in their open containers, they can be diluted to achieve a brush-applicable consistency.
