The box includes all laser-cut balsa and plywood parts, vacuum-molded components, scale full-size plans, and step-by-step instructions.
Covering material is also included, using a lightweight tissue for a traditional finish. The flat-bottom airfoil ensures smooth flight, and the recommended center of gravity is about 57 mm from the leading edge of the top wing for optimal balance.
The kit comes with precision-cut parts, colored lightweight tissue, vacuum-molded wheels and cowl, and all the accessories required for assembly.
The control surfaces include rudder and elevator, with recommended throws of about 19 mm (elevator) and 32 mm (rudder).
For equipment, a 3–4 channel radio system with a micro receiver is recommended, along with two lightweight servos (rudder and elevator), a small brushless motor, a 5 A ESC with BEC, and a 2S LiPo battery (7.4 V).
The DUMAS 1816 SPAD XIII combines historical charm, detailed finishes, and lightweight design.
With its 889 mm wingspan, it is built for precision, lightness, and flying enjoyment, perfect for RC enthusiasts who love to build and fly vintage-inspired models.
