To ride, fly, sail, everything is there at MHD!
The Type VII is a RC submarine model to build faithful to the famous U-Boot, designed to become a realistic radio-controlled submarine.
This RC submarine kit includes a hull made of thermoformed ABS in two half-shells, a detailed deck, and a tower accurately reproduced for an authentic look.
In its basic configuration, the model can be displayed, but with the optional propulsion and diving set, it becomes a functional model of a submarine.
The semi-dynamic diving system uses a tank and a pump, allowing a RC submarine with ballast capable of realistically maneuvering underwater.
Hardware details, armaments, and superstructures are included to enhance the realistic radio-controlled submarine aspect.
This operational RC submarine will appeal to enthusiasts of military models and naval modeling.

Make building a radio-controlled submarine easier with the U-Boot Type VII kit from Krick
Are you passionate about model submarines but hesitant to take the plunge?
The U-Boot Type VII kit from Krick is designed to overcome any obstacles.
Thanks to precise and well-thought-out design, building this radio-controlled submarine becomes more accessible, even for beginner modelers.
The RC installation is also simplified, making this model a great option to dive into the captivating world of remote-controlled submarines.
Building and piloting submarines has always fascinated modelers. But many have hesitated to venture into building such models due to the inadequacy or complexity of the plans.
With its different parts including the ABS plastic hull, this model is much easier to build.
The immersion technique used is semi-dynamic.The Type VII was probably the most well-known submarine in the world, as over 1000 units were built in different versions.
This type is characterized by its particularly harmonious streamlined shape, which resembles more of a ship than that of more modern submarines. This Type VII b submarine model, in its basic configuration, is a model to be assembled with all thermoformed high-quality ABS plastic parts necessary for the construction of a pure static model.
Those who wish to make the model navigable and submersible will need the propulsion and diving kit. However, larger depth rudders must be used than those at the reduced scale of the model mounted on a stand.
A later conversion from a stand model to a submersible model is not possible. The hull of the Type VII b submarine consists of two ABS half-shells, the submersible tank, ballast, and deck, which are thermoformed from a thin material, so that all slots and openings are clearly visible. The tower structure is also composed of several thermoformed ABS parts. All fitting parts as well as the two cannons are included in the basic construction kit.
Technique: The diving process of this model is semi-dynamic, which means that a pump and ballast tank are included in the diving set, but they only support dynamic diving (at sustained speed). The propulsion kit S02120311, which contains all the parts and accessories to prepare the transmission from static to navigable version, is not included and must be purchased separately. In addition to this kit, you will need to acquire to get a ready-to-navigate submarine: a 4-channel remote control, 2 servos to operate the diving and rudder controls, an electronic speed controller for forward motion, and an electronic speed controller to fill the diving tank.
These additional items are available further down on this page in the section "Items you would need". Regarding the batteries, the modeler is free to use the configuration they prefer based on the available space inside the compartments and the balancing of the submarine, but we recommend the NiMH 12V - 4000mAh battery (reference Z03N10402F).
The U-Boot Type VII: the iconic submarine of World War II
Launched for the first time in June 1936, the German Type VII submarine quickly became the flagship model of the Kriegsmarine.
Used throughout World War II, this true workhorse was produced in over 700 units - a historic record in the mass production of submarines.
Designed as an intermediate model between coastal U-boats and long-range ones, the Type VII was perfectly suited to the specificities of the North Atlantic, with smaller dimensions.
Its efficient design has allowed it to gradually replace the old types III and IV.
Dimensions of the assembled model:
