It is the most famous schooner for fishing of that time. It was launched in 1920, not only did it work on the Grand Banks of Newfoundland fishing for hake, but it participated annually in the Fishermen's Cup, a prestigious regatta between Canadians and Americans. The Bluenose won this cup for 17 years in a row.
