A Legendary Ship
Launched in 1765 at the Chatham Dockyard, the HMS Victory served the Royal Navy for 34 years.
It is best remembered for its role in the Battle of Trafalgar in 1805, before being retired in 1812 and anchored in Portsmouth, England. Today, it remains the only warship of its size still preserved, a true testimony to 18th-century British naval craftsmanship.
