The first yacht of the Dutch royal family, The Yacht Mary, was built in the Netherlands and was given as a gift to Prince Charles Stuart by the city of Amsterdam on the occasion of his proclamation as King of England. It is considered the prototype of pleasure boats. The reconstruction of the model was facilitated by a painting by Van der Vendel and especially by the archaeological pieces unearthed in past years at the site where the ship sank. The model is therefore entirely trustworthy and is identical in the construction process to our other larger models. It is very rich in decorations that are proposed in castings drawn from exclusive pieces by a renowned sculptor.
